Our
6-hour training class can be taken in lieu of 40 hrs of on-the-job training or for Re-Certification Credits. The
3-hour class is ONLY for Re-Certification Credits. By pairing together the 3 and 6 hour classes, you will earn 16 NJDEP Credits in either 3A or 3B.
Our Online Classes are Considered In-Person by the NJDEP. Earn 100% of Offered Credits by attending. NO 25% limit.

Mike Reed brings more than 30 years of pest control industry experience and many years of teaching experience to NJPestTraining.com.
Known for his unique teaching style, Mike combines lighthearted humor, real-world stories, and practical examples to keep students interested and engaged. His hands-on industry experience helps bring technical material to life and makes even the more monotonous topics easier to understand.
Mike’s philosophy is simple: pesticide training should be informative—but it doesn’t have to be boring.

To apply in turf
if you are applying to turf Landscape pesticide including ones that are mixed on a fertilizer including Weed and Feed, Pre-Emergents you need to have a Turf Pesticide License. Also includes vegetation control on commercial and residential sites only; flea and tick control in turf areas only.
To apply in ornamentals
if you are applying to ornamentals products like Roundup or Bedweed Pre-Emergents you need to have an
Ornamental Pesticide License.
Also includes tick control in brush areas only.
To apply Fertilizer
in NJ you need a
ProFACT (Professional Fertilizer Applicator Certification) license. With this license you can only apply fertilizer products that don't contain pesticides. To learn about the Professional Fertilizer Applicator Certification and Training Program offer by Rutgers, please click HERE.
Requirements for ONLINE Classes
- Government issued photo ID is required and will be verified prior to and immediately after the class.
- Attendees must be visible throughout the entire session (with live video on) and must stay to the end.
- Quizzes will be randomly scheduled, & attendance will be visually monitored by a moderator.
- In order to be marked "Present" for this class, every Attendee
MUST log-in to the online Class from their own device (PC, or MAC) and use their
own unique email address. Absolutely No Sharing of devices or log-in.
- Call-ins (audio only) are not allowed; you need a computer with *live* video capability.
- Sorry
No SMARTPHONES or TABLETS Permitted for this class.
- You MUST Pay at the time of Registration. No Checks or Cash for Online Classes

IMPORTANT - Please Note: In most jurisdictions, pesticide applicators may not receive credit for taking the same course more than once within a single recertification cycle. Because the content remains the same, repeat attendance may not qualify for additional credits.
However, the 3-hour and 6-hour classes listed below are considered separate courses. You may take both the 3-hour and 6-hour class in each category — 3A Ornamental and 3B Turf — to earn credits toward your recertification requirements.
REQUIRED AT THE BEGINNNG OF CLASS: All attendees must submit via email to PhotoID@NJPestTraining.com:
- A photo of a valid photo ID.
- A selfie.
- If attending for recertification credits, a photo of their Applicator License for each state in which they are seeking credits.
- Submitting documents - The items listed above must be emailed to the designated email address on the day of class, during the 30-minute window immediately before the scheduled start time. All items must be received before class begins. Items sent before this window or to any other email address cannot be accepted. No exceptions.
Cameras must remain on throughout the entire webinar. Participants are responsible for ensuring their equipment is functioning properly before class begins.
Late arrivals will not receive credit and are not eligible for a refund.
