3A & 3B Landscape Pest Control

3-Hour and 6-hour Pesticide Training Classes.

Training required for the NJDEP in lieu of 40 hrs of OJT. In addition, you must also take a Basic Pesticide Training Class to be certified.

Cost: $169 - 6 Hr Class / $99 - 3 Hr Class

Our 6-hour training class can be taken in lieu of 40 hrs of on-the-job training or for Re-Certification Credits. The 3-hour class is ONLY for Re-Certification Credits. By pairing together the 3 and 6 hour classes, you will earn 16 NJDEP Credits in either 3A or 3B.

Our Online Classes are Considered In-Person by the NJDEP. Earn 100% of Offered Credits by attending. NO 25% limit.

To apply in turf

if you are applying to turf Landscape pesticide including ones that are mixed on a fertilizer including Weed and Feed, Pre-Emergents you need to have a 3B Turf Pesticide License. Also includes vegetation control on commercial and residential sites only; flea and tick control in turf areas only.

To apply in ornamentals

if you are applying to ornamentals products like Roundup or Bedweed Pre-Emergents you need to have a 3A Ornamental Pesticide License. Also includes tick control in brush areas only.

To apply Fertilizer

in NJ you need a ProFACT (Professional Fertilizer Applicator Certification) license. With this license you can only apply fertilizer products that don't contain pesticides. To learn about the Professional Fertilizer Applicator Certification and Training Program offer by Rutgers, please click HERE.

Requirements for ONLINE Classes

Government issued photo ID is required and will be verified prior to and immediately after the class.
Attendees must be visible throughout the entire session (with live video on) and must stay to the end.
Quizzes will be randomly scheduled, & attendance will be visually monitored by a moderator.
In order to be marked "Present" for this class, every Attendee MUST log-in to the online Class from their own device (PC, or MAC) and use their own unique email address. Absolutely No Sharing of devices or log-in.
Call-ins (audio only) are not allowed; you need a computer with *live* video capability.
