NJDEP Category 8C Campground Pest Control  re-certification credits can be earned by completing courses offered through NJPestTraining.com.  Courses in Landscape Categories 3A (Ornamental Pest Control) and 3B (Turf Pest Control), as well as 7A (General & Household Pest Control), 7B (Termites & Other Wood-Destroying Insects), and 8B (Mosquito Pest Control), also award 8C credits.

Landscape Pesticide Training

3A Ornamental Pesticide License – This category covers the application of products such as Roundup and pre-emergent herbicides when applied to ornamental plantings. It also includes tick control in brush areas only.

3B Turf Pesticide License – This category applies to pesticide applications to turf areas, including landscape pesticides that are combined with fertilizers such as Weed & Feed and pre-emergents. It also includes vegetation control on commercial and residential sites, as well as flea and tick control in turf areas only.

Both of these category courses also cover relevant 8C Campground Pest Control material and will award credits toward your 8C license.

General & Household Pest Control

Category 7A – General & Household Pest Control applies to commercial pesticide applicators who apply or supervise the use of pesticides to control common household pests. These pests include, but are not limited to, cockroaches, ants, bees, ticks (both inside and outside of structures), fleas (indoors and outdoors), rodents, other vertebrates, and birds.

Applications may take place at a wide range of sites, including residential homes, commercial and industrial buildings, institutional facilities, and retail food establishments where food is prepared, served, or stored.

Courses in this category also include relevant 8C Campground Pest Control  material and will award credits toward your 8C license.

Termites & Other WDI Pest Control

Category 7B – Termites & Other Wood-Destroying Insects (WDI) applies to commercial pesticide applicators who apply or supervise the use of pesticides to control termites and other wood-destroying pests.

Courses in this category also cover relevant 8C Campground Pest Control  material and will award credits toward your 8C license.

Mosquito Pest Control

Category 8B – Mosquito Pest Control  All commercial pesticide applicators and businesses who apply pesticides to control mosquitos and/or flies must be certified in either Mosquito or Campground Pest Control.

Courses in this category also cover relevant 8C Campground Pest Control  material and will award credits toward your 8C license.
